Need help with rod...

Ok so i've been researching and i think i'm going to go ahead and get the Shimano Curado...i am not sure which rod to pick with it, i've heard of St. Croix, Okuma, All Pro, Falcon...it will mostly be used for jig and worm fishing...i want to spend around $100, but for sure no more than $175...what do you guys recommend?

My man, your best and most expensive rod has to be your worm/jig rod and with $100-$175 that ain 't gonna happen.

Falcon rods are relatively cheap.Falcon Cara T7 are 170 bucks for a 6'6'' H ,6'10'' H , 7ft H

or 7'2/3'' XH pick one of those and you should be good.

Or a cheaper and nicer looking rod the E21 LTX carrot stick 150 bucks and a couple good actions for worming 7ft XH 7'6'' H 6'9'' MH etc.

I thought a Medium/Medium Heavy with a Fast tip would be ideal, from what i've been reading on the different posts...would i lean more towards a HEAVY rod?  Can someone explain why a worm/jig rod would be the more expensive of all your rods?

Fishing jigs and soft plastics is all about sensitivity and a rod's ability to transmit subtle clues. Generally speaking, the higher end rods perform better at this task. On the otherhand, less expensive equipment does just fine fishing techniques that involve violent strikes that don't require "touch" to be felt.

In your price range, I would suggest the St. Croix Avid AVC70MF or AVC68MXF.
