I haven't fished the BCR's so I can't comment on how they fish.  The obvious differences are the guides (recoil) and the handle lengths.  BCR's are about 1"-1.5" longer in the handles than the MBR's.

According to Loomis, the mossybacks are under the IMX... they fall in between the GL3 and IMX.

For what I can remember the difference between BCRs and MBRs ( aside from the length ) is the action, BCRs have extra fast action while MBRs have fast actions.

The BCR's are quite a bit fast.  'Stiff' comes to mind.  A good comparison would be the 2 power Mag Bass (842) versus the 2 power bcr (852).  There is no way I would use the quite limber 842 for throwing any sort of plastic, but the 852 bcr is uber fast, and has the power to get a great hookset when throwing plastic/jigs 3/8oz and under.  The BCR's are noticeable more powerful; at least a 1/2 power heavier than the mbr's.  Hope that helps.
