Super User burleytog Posted September 14, 2008 Super User Posted September 14, 2008 The Curado 200E7 is just that d**n good. TheBeast and I were fishing identical rods (Carrot LTX 6'9MH), identical baits (3/8 oz.). I was using 14 lb. XPS flouro, he was using 12 lb. PLine CXX. The only real difference were the reels. I was using a 200E7, he a Revo STX. The difference? About 15 yards. The 200E7 is that full of win. Chuck Norris wishes he was as good as this reel. This reel makes Darth Vader cower in the corner. Super User roadwarrior Posted September 15, 2008 Super User Posted September 15, 2008 Man, great post! I can hardly imagine how much better it could be with the right rod and line! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Quote
Super User 5bass Posted September 15, 2008 Super User Posted September 15, 2008 I refuse to believe that. You might as well just mail me one of those Curado's and let me see for myself. You know I'm not a Shimano fan so there's no chance I'll want to keep it. Plus, there is more to a reel than just how far it can cast. We're talking brakes, weight, smoothness, spools, drags, etc....I dont see that new Curado having a better drag than any of my Revo's. And I'd much rather have a silky smooth drag than I would being able to throw just a little further (if in fact I can throw it farther than my Revo's, which I doubt). Quote
Super User Micro Posted September 15, 2008 Super User Posted September 15, 2008 And I'd much rather have a silky smooth drag than I would being able to throw just a little further (if in fact I can throw it farther than my Revo's, which I doubt). Don't be such a doubter. I threw my Curado 100B SF way over a hundred feet from my front porch to the trash can. Made it in, too. I could never do that with a Revo. Quote
Super User Jimzee Posted September 15, 2008 Super User Posted September 15, 2008 Chuck Norris uses Liberto Pixy. Darth Vader uses...yep you guessed it, a Steez. We don't need no stinkin' Shimanos. Quote

guitarkid Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Chuck Norris can LOOK at a fish and it will be caught. He does'nt even need a reel or line or hook or really pretty much any bait. -tumnus Quote
mattm Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 If it really cast further than a Revo its further than I can set the hook on anyways. Quote
Super User Jeff H Posted September 15, 2008 Super User Posted September 15, 2008 45 ft is quite a difference really. Hell, most of my casts don't go much farther than that on any given day. Not that I can't, just don't need to. But, in a direct comparison just to see, thats quite a difference. Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted September 15, 2008 Super User Posted September 15, 2008 The reels are good, but a Steez 100H or even the Zillion HLC will kick it's butt...... Just like Bruce Lee kicked Chuck Norris' butt. ;D Quote

AnthonyRSS Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 For the record, Bruce Lee only beat Chuck Norris on stage. Chuck Norris, consistent with all the hype, really is a bad man. And while the Steez may beat a Curado, it costs 2x more. And thats all. Anthony Quote
Super User Muddy Posted September 15, 2008 Super User Posted September 15, 2008 Hey You She Man OH Guys have your own forum now, go play over there ;D ;D ;D Quote

Super User burleytog Posted September 16, 2008 Author Super User Posted September 16, 2008 Yep, I can see Chuck using a reel named 'Pixy'. You know, I'd never thought about it, but what does that say about Jimzee? Quote
