Super User J Francho Posted September 9, 2008 Super User Posted September 9, 2008 I use many knots, but mostly Palomar and Uni knots. For spinnerbaits and buzz baits I use an improved clinch because its fast and simple to tie. Plus, break offs are pretty much a non issue using 15# P-line CXX as SOP for these baits. Quote
The Rooster Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 :-? What's a uni knot?? I just about tie a clinch knot for everything. Once in a while I'll tie a Palomar knot, but mostly it's a laziness issue for me. Clinch knot is fast and easy. Palomar is a pain sometimes cause I have to put the entire lure back through the loop again. A crankbait with two trebles is hard to do that with. Quote
Tucson Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 Might try using a rapala knot for cranks. It leaves a little loop so the crank can swivel freely. Quote
