Guest avid Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Right now the bite is slow for me. The one lure that is keeping things interesting is the swimming senko. Red hues are working well, which is definitely not the usual color preference. what about y'all? Quote
Super User Jeff H Posted November 8, 2007 Super User Posted November 8, 2007 Gettin' cold up here now, quit fishin' awhile ago but this is still an easy question. Today, tomorrow, last summer or next....my favorite lure is a Black/green flake skirt on a 1/2 oz GMAN Poison Tail jig with either a Jet Black or Junebug/blue claw Producto Craw. I could catch fish on that jig this weekend with a switch to #11 pig in Moss Green doused in BANG crawdad....as long as we don't build too much ice. I have NEVER fished bass in November here in MN, but I'd bank it all on a jig right now. No pops or hops, just little twitches and dead stick it for 15 minutes. Quote
Bass XL Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 well its pretty simple for me: Chart./White spinnerbait. Quote
Stringjam Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 A Bagley Killer B1 - round lip. This, of course, changes by the minute. I just got a little crank from BIG M that I have a feeling is going to spending a lot of time occupying the "favorite" slot. Quote
BassFishingMachine Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Black/blue Booyah Jig 3/16 - 5/16ounce with YUM 3.5 inch Chunk in black/blue as trailer. Or a Black Strike King Bitsy Bug Jig 1/16 - 1/8ounce and for trailer either YUM 2.75 inch Chunk in black/blue or bluefleck, or Netbait Paca Chunk 3 inch black/blue. Quote
basspro48 Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Bandit 100 series crank has been hot lately. Quote
Super User Bassin_Fin@tic Posted November 8, 2007 Super User Posted November 8, 2007 Now the fronts have settled in here in Florida, Id have to say a trick worm junebug or black deadsticked. Its also kind of a toss up though as the dt flat 3-7 in chart purple back has been killer banging off of any rocks I can find. I cant catch a cold with a swimsenko, but may not be the magic wand on the waters that I frequent.Im sure they work at some places so I have plenty of them just in case. Quote
John J. Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 It's getting cold up here in Va too. I am switching from my summer wacky rigged ZOOM Finesse, YUM Dinger and Tiki Stick presentations to a jig-n-crawtail. I think I'll fish mostly with my peanut-butter jelly jig and my home made jig craw tails... PS: That crawtail has been bit more than once lol! It is still intact so I will continue to use it until I need to change lol... Quote
eastkybass Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 I would have to go with a white spinnerbait with red in it. Quote
Avalonjohn44 Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Bagley KB2 Splatterback or Megabass Cyclone (japanese color name) in Brown/Pearl sides... Quote
Super User Tin Posted November 8, 2007 Super User Posted November 8, 2007 3/8 oz. blue olive pro top secret jig with a watermelon *** beaver craw trailer. Quote
Davis Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 3/8 weedless Chompers football jighead with a watermelon red flake GYCB Double tail hula grub. Dragging it on the bottom. Daylight savings time has now killed my fishing however. :'( Quote
Super User Crestliner2008 Posted November 8, 2007 Super User Posted November 8, 2007 Lures are just tools of the trade. There should be no "favorite". It all depends on time of the year and water temperature as to what to use. Keep in mind depth and speed control and your "tool" selection will be a lot easier. Right now, here in N.E., the water temps are falling from the 50's to the mid 40's with winter rapidly approaching. So I have to slow way down & target deeper fish. Jigs are in. Silver Buddies are in. Ikas are in. And I don't discount the drop shot either. Lots of tools for this time of the year, depending on where you find the fish and the type of structure you encounter. Siebert Outdoors Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 same lure all year and some of last year. This little guy Quote
basspro05 Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Right now my favorite lure has to be the 1/2 oz Magnum Belly dancin' jig in the fuscia shad color made by P&K custom baits, I have been using it like a swim jig and the fish have been killing it more so than the spinnerbaits my buddies have been throwing behind me. Quote
Super User FishTank Posted November 8, 2007 Super User Posted November 8, 2007 I have not had much with crankbaits lately but most of the creature type baits (lizards, grubs, and GYCB Kreatures) and senkos have been great for me the past couple of weeks. They have been hitting on pumpkin colors with black flake. Quote
Super User fishfordollars Posted November 9, 2007 Super User Posted November 9, 2007 No favorites here. I have some confidence baits and a box or two that I will not tie on unless the money is on the line. Quote
Stringjam Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 Well I sure as heck have favorite baits - - - and I'll even throw them when they aren't even the best baits for the conditions... .......it's just more fun to fish crankbaits. Quote
Redtail Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 50" Panasonic Plasma TV. It's what I use to catch all my favorite fishing shows on Saturday morning! Real Fishing all done for me in New England - my boat has been winterized and it's been cold! Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted November 9, 2007 Super User Posted November 9, 2007 Mattlures new swimbait! Well, I haven't actually fished it yet, but it has that potential. Overall this year: The Mircro Munch Tackle 1/2 oz jig, Mattlures Baby Bass, GYCB Kreature and Cavitron Buzzbait. Quote

=Matt 5.0= Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 Right now with the cold temps in Rhode Island, I'm diggin this Yo Zuri Ratllin Vibe. Can't wait til tomorrow! Power fishin' :) Quote
Terry_ Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 This could change anyday, but currently my best bites are coming from a texas rigged 6" Zoom u-tail in " watermelon red", with my number two bait being an origanal Rattle Trap in "lake chub". Quote
Super User T-rig Posted November 11, 2007 Super User Posted November 11, 2007 This time of year jigs and softplastics. Quote
