WIII-60 Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 I did some deep cranking today to cap-off my fishing trip. Hooked a 30 lb flathead that I fought for 15-20 mintues. My 10# ultra soft had some nicks in it. Unbelievable. Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted September 3, 2008 Super User Posted September 3, 2008 Your post makes no sense. Quote
Super User Sam Posted September 3, 2008 Super User Posted September 3, 2008 Did the line break? What happened? Were you fishing in cover or structure to cause the nicks? Interesting minds want to know. ;D Quote
A.Do? Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 Sounds like he's being sarcastic -hooked up with and fought a 30lb flathead with nicked US for 15 minutes -had to have landed it or the weight would have been a guesss and not "a 30lb" Am I right?! :-? Quote
Super User Sam Posted September 3, 2008 Super User Posted September 3, 2008 Actually, if you read his post you will see that the line did great. Fighting a fish in structure and the Yo-Zuri had only a few nicks. So Yo-Zuri Ultra Soft does it again. Quote
WIII-60 Posted September 3, 2008 Author Posted September 3, 2008 sarcasm ppl Yeah, it was a poor attempt at sarcasm. I re-read it and said "this doesn't make sense." Here I'll try this, Yo-zuri is really great line. I caught a 30lb Flathead with 10lb test. I was really surprised that it only had some nicks in it and was able to land the large fish. I recommend yo-zuri line for a lot of applications and, based on this experience I can say that yo-zuri will probably exceed your expectations as well. Quote
Top Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 That is some mighty strong language there pilgrim... hope this is another poor attempt as sarcasm... or humor... or whatever... :-? AL Quote

I don't use Yo-Zuri line, but I now understand what you are trying to say. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted September 4, 2008 Super User Posted September 4, 2008 Well, as many know, I'm a huge Yo-Zuri fan, but some who have tried orignal Hybrid and Hybrid Ultra Soft haven't been satisfied. My suggestion is to give it a try and see what you think. The experiment isn't very expensive and you might find exactly what you have been looking for! Spinning gear: Yo-Zuri Hybrid Ultra Soft #6 (.010" diameter, 11.9 lb test) Baitcasting tackle: Hybrid Ultra Soft #12 (.013" diameter, 19.5 lb test) 8-) Quote
bigfruits Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 i used yo-zuri ultra soft for the first time last week and thought it was great. i did use kvd line conditioner so i cant give an opinion on the line without it. Quote

Simp Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 I bought some of the original Yu Zuri when I was at bass pro and it has bad memory problems. So is the "ultra soft" that much of a improvement? Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted September 6, 2008 Super User Posted September 6, 2008 When treated wiht KVD Line & Lure Conditioner, the line management is greatly improved. Ultra Soft has significantly less memory and is specifically engineered for spinning tackle. I fish both Hybrid and Hybrid Ultra Soft and find them to be superior lines. 8-) Quote
