Super User Paul Roberts Posted September 5, 2008 Super User Posted September 5, 2008 I used the back to back Uni-Knots initially for braid to mono/fluoro leaders for several years. Then someone introduced me to the J-Knot. I used it all this season and like it MUCH better than the Uni's. It's much simpler to tie, you only have to tie one knot (instead of two Uni's), is less apt to seat imperfectly (the bane of any knot), and it holds as well, or better -I didn't have a single failure with it this year. Super User J Francho Posted September 5, 2008 Super User Posted September 5, 2008 Are you talking about the ALLBRIGHT SPECIAL? Never heard of a "J-knot." If it is the allbright, then , yes, its a great knot. I used it quite a bit for very light lines last winter. You know the species . Quote

Super User J Francho Posted September 5, 2008 Super User Posted September 5, 2008 Wow, I wasn't even close, LOL. Looks worth trying. Seems pretty simple to tie in a rocking boat as well. Thanks RW and Paul! Quote

Super User Paul Roberts Posted September 5, 2008 Author Super User Posted September 5, 2008 Thanks RW. It's a small knot too. I think you'll all like it. Quote
