tipptruck1 Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 Mine would have to be a billgill colored spinner bait. If thats not working a spook in white. Quote
tugabasser Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 Watermelon Zoom finesse worm and/or grasshoper Luck-E-Strike ribworm on a split-shot rig Quote
Rattlinrogue Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 I have two that usually gets the action going when when the bass won't cooperate.I like a downsized 3/16 white Strike King tandem spinnerbait(gold willowleaf over silver Colorado). You can hit the banks throwing at wood cover or skim it over a grassy bottomed flat(just above the grass).Just get in a groove and go fishing making as many casts as your arm can handle. My other "go to" bait is 180 degrees in the other direction.I'll use a spinning rig(7 ft rod) with 8 lb Berkley Vanish on the drop shot rig.I like #2 or #4 Daiichi finese hook.I'll nose hook either a 4" Senko (green pumpkin/watermelon) or a green pumpkin FLW finese worm.I'll either cast and SLOWLY retreive with frequent stops alternating between subtle shakes or deadsticking. If I find a drop off with bass stacked on cover,I'll fish it vertically ,again with subtle shakes or deadsticking. rocknfish9001 Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 a 3.5inch green and purple flake tube with an 1/8th oz. insider jighead Quote
basser89 Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 I have two depending on the time of year and conditions. Year round I'll throw a 4" BPS Magnum flippin tube (color depends of the water color and whether I'm fishing for smallies or largemouths) matched with the lightest weight I can get away with for the conditions I'm faced with. From the time the water reaches 50 degrees until it falls back to 50, I'll have a spinnerbait (color, weight and blade combination are determined by water conditions as well) tied on one or two other rods.
