The_Natural Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 I need another spinning rod to join my sjr723c IMX, and I've been eyeing the new Fuego spinning rods since receiving my Zillion rods. I wasn't looking at them before I got my Zillions, but the blank and just general rod performance of my Zillions has me feeling the Fuego will be verbatim (basically just the spinning version of the Zillion). Pairing the Fuego rod with the new Fuego reel would be sweet, but $280 for the new Fuego?! It's just high enough to keep me from buying it I think. I have a TD Advantage spinning reel I love, albeit it is a little heavy. The lighter weight would be nice, but d**n that is expensive. I was just wondering if anyone else is considering the new Fuego. Quote
Super User Raul Posted August 12, 2008 Super User Posted August 12, 2008 Saw it at TT 's Icast coverage, my take ? the reel lost it 's essence, instead of being a Fuego it 's now a silver reel with red accents. Quote
Super User flechero Posted August 12, 2008 Super User Posted August 12, 2008 I have the all red Fuego and it's worth every penny and more. It's the best spinning reel I have ever owned or used, but I haven't fished a Stella yet. Buy one and see how you like it... you don't have to buy everything in bulk! ....lol Quote
Super User Raul Posted August 12, 2008 Super User Posted August 12, 2008 Buy one and see how you like it... you don't have to buy everything in bulk! ....lol I think that 's gonna be a liil bit difficult with him. Quote
njbasser Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Seeing that picture, i think i might have to consider it Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted August 12, 2008 Super User Posted August 12, 2008 Why the 30.00 price hike ? Quote
shimanogloomis man Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Check out the new sustain its a sweet reel as well.... Quote
UBA Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 The price is a little too much for me. Looks pretty sweet though. Quote
