Bass Pro Rods

Dose anyone use only Bass Pro Rods? I have about 5 and they seem good for the money but I was just wondering how there quality compares to other rods..

I used to use only bass pro rods until I made a cast with my first loomis. Even the most expensive BPS rod doesn't compare. For the money the midrange rods (extreme and pro qualifier) rods are pretty good though IMO. If you can get them in one of the frequent sales they are definately worth the money. Quality wise they're okay. The best part is if they ever break BPS will exchange 'em no questions asked.

I have 2 Bionic Blades. Got both on sale at almost 1/2 price. Around $40. Of course there are better rods out there, but at that price they're great!!!

I've got three of the Extremes, a 6'8" ML Woo Daves split-grip spinning rod, a 6'6" MH Woo Daves "Worm" casting rod, and a 7' MH casting rod.

I like them a lot, but I like them better when they're on sale for $59.

I have a Bionic Blade Flippin stick that it okay. It's not my favorite rod but I don't flip enough to justify a more expensive one.  It suits my purposes and I don't regret buying it.

I'm a big fan of BPS rods. I especially llike the power hump with a low profile reel. I barely have to move my thumb to cast.

When I started seriously bass fishing a few years ago, BPS rods were my starting point and I've had several BPS rods over the years, but I've since sold them all (except for three 3+ piece travel rods, 2 Extreme and one MicroLite).  Though I thought the Powerhump was comfortable, the rods tended to be heavier and less sensitive than other rods of similar price and with comparable components.  I've held onto the travel rods (and will probably get another Extreme baitcaster) because I can't seem to find any other decent travel rods (3 or more pieces) for less than a $100.

My tackle room is full of $5 to $15 rods and with reels from 3 bearings to 10 ball bearings. I do use excaliber silver thread line and cabelas bass pro line too (coploymere).

I use the lesser ball bearings with spinnerbaits because the reels are looser to crank.  I find the more ball bearings the tighter the reels are. If you making 1,000 casts it matters. I use the tighter reels on my livebaits/crankbaits till they loosen up then they go on my spinnerbaits.

I bought a JM signature series rod...took it out a couple of times and said "I don't like it!"  With all the quality components on it, you would assume it would be a better rod.  Sensitivity was mediocre, I didn't like the power hump either, too much cork for my taste.  I took it back and got a refund.  

I think if you've never owned a St. Croix or Loomis, BPS rods are pretty good...but if you've ever owned a St. Croix or Loomis, you can't/won't go back.

I unfortunately have never spent over $100 for a rod, which excludes me from a loomis or st. croix,and i'm afraid to go near them in a store.(monkey) I do have 2 bps extreme's 7'mh spin,7.5'mh flip which i am pleased with. Also use a 6.5'ul microlite in the spring.

Many, many people cannot or will not spend the money for Loomis or St. Croix rods.  In my opinion, BPS rods are some of the best you can buy for the price - especially when they are on sale.

I've got 2 extremes and a Crankin stick.  For the money (at sale price), these rods are good.  They aren't top of the line by any stretch of the imagination, but for 60-70 the extremes are a solid value.  The crankin stick is great for 30.

I'd never by a BPS rod at full price.  If I had to pay full price, I'd buy a different brand.

I have three Tourney Special rods from Bass Pro Shop that I have been using and I am very happy with them.

For moving baits, spinnerbaits, cranks, jerks, topwater 'n such, I like the Bass Pro rods. I have two flippin sticks and another rod I use for plastics that are going to be switched out for either a St Croix (Premire or Avid) or a Quantum Energy series.

I have the 60 million and 40 million rods and love them.

I will take the 60 million rod onto rivers and lakes while I take both to rivers, lakes and ponds.

Of course, other rods are more expensive, more sensitive and lighter but for an overall good rod the BPS rods are fine.

I have a Bionic Blade spinning rod.  I like it, especially for the sale price I got it for.  

I have a couple of Pro Qualifier baitcast rods - both 7'M/F.  I like them.  They are pretty stiff, and very sensiive.  I like the alconite guides, the reel seet and the powerhump grip.  I DON'T like the fact that to lock the reel down you have to tighten the foregrip.  Sometimes when fishing it's easy to turn this the wrong way loosening the reel.

I have a Johnny Morris Elite 7' MH/F with Recoil guides.  This rod isn't so stiff.  It's got somewhat soft tip and it's a good multipurpose rod.  It's ultra-sensitive.  I like to a lot with the exception of the foregrip thing.

I fished BPS rod for over 10yrs, I found this site and it opened up new windows for me, I started reading and looking into rods I thought I'd never buy because of price...well now Im the proud owner of 3 new G.Loomis rods, 2 Mossy's and a Spinnerbait rod. I liked my BPS's, but after fishing my Loomy's, I'll never look back.

imho bps johnny morris signature/elite series rods are as good as any rod made.i've fished my friends loomis rods and don't feel a difference.i thimk the morris rods are every bit as sensitive.

What's up I have a BPS Extreme rod that had the tip broke off and shortened it by 4 inches. I received this as a gift and was wondering if there was a way for me to get this replaced or not because i didn't buy it and don't have the receipt?
