moby bass Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 Quote Sometimes you will get one that needs tuning Yep, I got it. > First one I ever bought, then I lost it several days later Quote
bass109 Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 norman lures are alright, one of my friends kept using that crank for decades. Quote
Avalonjohn44 Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 I only have 4 norman baits, the Thin Ns in different colors. Not a single one was in tune when I bought it, and not one stays in tune for long... I'm gonna put em on ebay one of these days... I haven't used a DD22, which a ton of people here swear by, only because I don't have any ponds/lakes around here deep enough to use. And if I did, I have no boat yet, so a 22ft diver wouldn't be for me yet... Quote
Guest avid Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 I guess I'm swimming against the tide on this one. I have not had much luck with Norman CB's. I do much better with wiggle warts. what kind of action characterize Norman baits? for example, wiggle warts are known for a wide wobble. and others for a tight wobble? What is the Norman wobble/wiggle? Quote
bassmaster8100 Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 avid, id say with all the norman cranks that ive used they fit the wide wobble category. ive been using the little deep n, dd18 and dd22 Quote

What is the Norman wobble/wiggle? It depends on which model.....I've used most of them, but for the past part, years ago. DD22 - moderate wobble DD14 - wider DLN - moderate Little N - tight Deep Baby N - wide Thin N - wide Crappie Crankbait - wide None of them are as wide as a Wiggle Wart - - There's about a dozen more models that I don't remember.......I like some of them, but there are others I prefer for most situations. My favorite Norman's is actually the Crappie Crankbait. ;D If I'm desperate for fish and all else fails - that's the bait I'm tying on......I've caught so many bass on that little thing in tough conditions - - and Spots will try to rip the rod out of your hands hitting that thing.
