Just want to say hello. Recently graduated from college and decide I needed a hobby....so fishing it was. I appreciate all the info you guys give out to newbies such as myself, I have learned alot just thumbing through old topics. Dadgum there is alot to fishin.

Went to Cabelas last night and put a Shimano Calcutta TE on a G. Loomis Crankbait M/MF, did I do alright? I dont know if that is alot for starting out, but I just wanted to try to buy it right the first time.

Thanks.

Sounds like you decided to step right up to the plate.

I'm sure you will like your new rig.

Good luck!

Welcome, and that is a great setup.... however, be prepared.  You have only slightly appeased the baitmonkey.... he will demand more and more as you fish more.. ;D

Welcom aboard.

That is a nice setup.  Calcutta are such sweet reels,  and anytime you mix Shimanos and Loomis' the results are always good.
