I guess I'll be getting the new , larger crank bait rod.   Any new worm rods coming out?

what do you mean by that?

Only that Loomis is stuck in the 70s with rod design.

Design yes, blank construction...no.  I can't name another product on the market (anything) that was invented 20 years ago that hasn't been improved upon somehow.  There still isn't any graphite more senisitive than the GLX blanks, and Gary first rolled those out in the late '80's.  That's simply amazing when you think about it.  With all the technology of today versus 20 years ago;  they still can't better it.  Look at the reels now versus then!

Split Grips Suck. (Disclaimer: This is my personal opinion only based off of my own experience. This is not meant to be factual in any way)

They do feel different at first in a 2 handed cast but I've found they are easy to get used to if you give them a chance.  Not everybody will like them though.

I had a split grip rod for about a year (figuring that I would try and get used to it), but it just never felt comfortable.  So back to the full cork grip I went (I'm just glad G Loomis has full cork grips still)

I have a few LTB rods with the split grips, but I still like my loomis better. It is hard to beat the GLX.

No new worm/jig rods coming out. I wish they made a 7'5" flippin stick rated up to 11/2-2oz.
