Just wondering what action and length rod you guys use for throwing spinnerbaits. I have been using a 6'6 mh All Star but i have been loosing a lot of fish lately i dont know if it is the rod or they are just not hooking up good. Can anyone shed some light on this. I have thought about getting one of the G Loomis Spinnerbait rods in the 6'3 m. Looking for some info.

I use a Shimano Crucial CRC-X610MH for my Spinner/Buzzbaits.

Up until a couple weeks ago (wife closed the rod in the trucks tailgate) I was using a custom built 6'6" MHF stick that I really liked.

The key to good hookups is not making the hole bigger or use a stinger (trailer) hook. Don't set the hook (it's a reactionary bait), don't double set the hook, and set the drags softer to let the reel do some of the fighting.

Just my .02¢

Tight Lines!!

Loomis spinnerbait specific rods are rated XF if that tells you anything. I like a fast taper rated for 10 - 17 lb line and 1/4 - 3/4 oz lures..MH or Med, depending on what the mfr calls it. Oh yeah, I prefer 6' but occasionally will use a 6'-6" rod.
