billbrum Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 I have switched all of my spinning combos to it. So far I am VERY impressed, it is limp, abrasion resistant, strong, and casts very well. What are your thoughts on it? Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted June 18, 2008 Super User Posted June 18, 2008 As long as you like it our thoughts are meaningless. Enjoy your new line. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted June 18, 2008 Super User Posted June 18, 2008 I have been experimenting with the line on a spinning reel and like it quite a lot. I plan to try a heavier pound test on a baitcaster in the near future. Several of our members have switched from Yo-Zuri Hybrid to Gamma Copolymer mainly, I think, because it does not create weak spots as noticably as Hybrid when you experience a "professional overrun". The line seems like a good option to me, but I am a little surprised that it commands such a premium price. 8-) Quote
billbrum Posted June 18, 2008 Author Posted June 18, 2008 Yeah the price is a little high. But, my local gander mountain had it on sale so I was able to stock up on it. I also like Yozuri Hybrid Ultrasoft. but it can be hard to find locally and I try to order as little online as possible. Quote
Aaron Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 I LOVE this line. Last summer it was the only one on my bass rigs. I tried other lines and yo-zuri was my second choice. It is pricey though so I haven't bought any more, but I haven't really needed to. Quote
Super User Micro Posted June 18, 2008 Super User Posted June 18, 2008 Gamma handles like Cajun Red Advantage. Hated Cajun Red, hated Gamma. If you like Gamma, might as well save a few bucks and buy CR Advantage. Quote
Super User Marty Posted June 18, 2008 Super User Posted June 18, 2008 I use 10# on one spinning reel. It's OK line, but I can't see where it's worth the premium price. Quote
bowtech_182 Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Academy sells it for $7.49 a spool which really not any more expensive than any other copolymer. I use it and like it. Quote
