Guest avid Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 T rig posted a cool pic of a lucky craft weed killer jig. I googled it and came up with this video, which seems to be a TV angler in Some Spanish speaking country. Anyway, he's obviously promoting the lure, but....................... Well you'll see for yourself. I don't think the Lucky craft people would be too thrilled with this endorsement. It's really funny watching this poor amigo try to land some bass. How do you say "Set the hook stupid" in Spanish? Quote
lovecranking Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 Avid, that was pretty funny. I agree, I think the Lucky Craft people will take a pass on this guy. Quote
Super User FishTank Posted October 28, 2007 Super User Posted October 28, 2007 I did a little research and the guy in the video endorses everything fishing. He must be popular somewhere. His name Juan Carlos Valcuende and I believe he is from Spain. Here is a pdf link with some info in Spanish. http://www.depredators.com/pro_staff/03_PROSTAFF_VALCUENDE.pdf Quote
Cory20 Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 Maybe it's easier to become a red light angler in Spain? Quote
Guest Wiimote_Angler Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 I don't see anything wrong really. At least the guy is enjoying himself with the lure. He may not be able to set the hook well, but that fact makes it even more fun. If it works, but the angler is doing bad, people should laugh it off and try the thing and do better than the guy. I actually enjoyed watching the guy, although he does a better job of making me want to fish with him than using the Lucky Craft. Quote
Super User cart7t Posted October 28, 2007 Super User Posted October 28, 2007 I'm guessing Glass Killer in spanish means: Sharpen the hook before use. Quote
Super User grimlin Posted October 28, 2007 Super User Posted October 28, 2007 Now i really need to add that jig to my box....That dude barely set the hook....lol Quote
Super User T-rig Posted October 28, 2007 Super User Posted October 28, 2007 Looky Craf! ;D ;D I have seen some of his videos. He is from Spain and is actually considered one of the better fisherman there! ;D ;D Obviously he never heard about a hookset. When I saw the video I had to laugh my arse off! ;D ;D Set the hook stupid in spanish is: clavalo estupido Quote

This guy is on the prostaff and not some kind of beginner, he should know how to set a hook. Quote
luckyinkentucky Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 He does need to learn to set the hook, but the only thing I've seen wrong is that he says "b1tchin' " a time or two. ;D If you think he's bad you should see some uncut footage of Bill Dance or Stacey King. Those guys sometimes have to shoot for a whole 8 hour day to get a 30 minute show worth of fish. Bill Dance likes to swear, and he loves to break Quantum Rods. He's a #1 Fishing Icon in my opinion, but he has to be the biggest klutz there is. ;D Quote
The_Natural Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 I didn't watch it past the first fish, a 2lber that was plastered 2" from the camera at 90 different angles. He was acting like he caught a hawg, and I would have broken out my golden rule if I caught that fish in a tournament Quote
Super User Bassin_Fin@tic Posted October 28, 2007 Super User Posted October 28, 2007 ya but he caught ,or got bit by more dinks in that 8 min video than I have ever gotten a jig in my life.ROFL Quote
Super User T-rig Posted October 28, 2007 Super User Posted October 28, 2007 ya but he caught ,or got bit by more dinks in that 8 min video than I have ever gotten a jig in my life.ROFL It probably took them the whole day to get that footage! This guy lost more fish then he caught. Quote
Super User .dsaavedra. Posted October 28, 2007 Super User Posted October 28, 2007 hahah that was too good. his version of a "hookset" is reeling the line tight....lol. im gonna go look up that lure and see how it is. at 5:05 does he say "bitchin'"? Quote
frogtog Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Hey the LC jig will catch a fish even if he couldn't keep em on. Might have to try some of them. Quote
luckyinkentucky Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 The problem is I can't find anywhere in the States where they sell the Glass Killer. I've been looking for them for awhile now, and can only find them on Ebay from one overpriced vendor. Quote
Super User grimlin Posted October 29, 2007 Super User Posted October 29, 2007 Look harder.. ;D yeah check out some japan stores online....the price tag on them are all around $5-$6 per jig.Haven't found one cheaper yet. I will be making my first order next week... Quote
TournyFish001 Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 "guhh-Ross keella": How many times did he said that???? LOL Quote
