coolhandlala Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 I just recieved my 2 custom rods I ordered from cooks of oregon. WOW is all I can say they are beatiful. One is a mbr783 with a split grip it turned out awesome. The other is a dr820 technically a drop shot blank but I intend to use it for dropshotting, shakey head, and anyother lightweight finesse fishing, maybe even some small cranks. Ryan the owner made that one with a skeleton grip just like a cumara. Both rods are made from IMX blanks and they are super light. If you are in the market for a semi-custom rod check out cooks of oregon. I am in no way affiliated with them just very very happy with the job he did on my rods. Quote

coolhandlala Posted June 2, 2008 Author Posted June 2, 2008 I am trying to get dome pics up but I don't know how. Just because someone buy s 2 rods form someone doesn't mean they are affiliated with them. I am sure lots of rod builders have sold multiple rods to the same person. Quote
Super User Raul Posted June 2, 2008 Super User Posted June 2, 2008 Take the pic with your digital camera and download them to your PC, usually they go to My Images folder in your PC, to post them open or reply in this thread, bellow this box where you type there 's a sign in bold that says Attach, click on the Examine box, a window will open, go to My Images and select the pic, click on Open, that will upload the pic from your PC into the BR 's server ( a code will appear between Attach and Examine ) click on Post, and that 's it, you can upload 1 pic up to 150 kb in size. As a rod bulider, I too would like to see what you like so much. I don't get the semi-custom rod idea. Thanks! Ronnie Quote
coolhandlala Posted June 2, 2008 Author Posted June 2, 2008 Here are some pics of the rods. http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk301/coolhandlala/DSC02037.jpg http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk301/coolhandlala/DSC02039.jpg http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk301/coolhandlala/DSC02036.jpg http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk301/coolhandlala/DSC02035.jpg http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk301/coolhandlala/DSC02038.jpg http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk301/coolhandlala/DSC02037.jpg These rods are probably nothing special to some of you but I think the turned out very well and I just weighed them and the mbr weighs 3.4 oz and the dr 3.1oz. I paired them both with citicas. I thought that the citica would be too heavy but actually the rods balance out great. I think these are great customs for $160.00 Quote
