Branuss04 Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 I own the 7'2" M Dropshot spinning rod. For the money, it is an awsome rod. I also use it for shaky head, light jigs, wacky rig. The warranty is pretty sweet too, After I used it for the first time, I was bringing it into the house and the door closed on it and broke off one foot of the tip. Took it to a local shop and 15 bucks later had a brand new rod. You can't go wrong with a crucial. Quote
Shadcranker Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 I have five Crucial rods- (1) 7' M Spinning, 2 of the 7' Cranking rods, a dropshot spinning, and a Frog rod. For the $$, they are a great value. Best value in that price range IMHO. I especially like the cranking rods. Great action and light too. I also own, Powells and St. Croix Avids, but the Crucials seem comparable in quality for a good deal less money. I'm really intrigued by the Cumara, but I haven't pulled the trigger yet. SC Quote
Willzx225 Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 I currently have 10 crucials and love everyone of them. The drop shot rods are amazing as well as the 7'6" MH flipping stick. Great rods for the money! Quote
Tokyo Tony Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 I own the 7'2" M Dropshot spinning rod. For the money, it is an awsome rod. I also use it for shaky head, light jigs, wacky rig. x2 The dropshot rod is a little soft for my taste for use with plastics (although I still use it for that sometimes), but for dropshotting, it's a real pleasure. It's also my go-to rod for fishing really light lures (small inline spinners, mini jerkbaits, and 1/16 to 1/8 oz jigheads with plastic minnows). Very sensitive, lightweight, and pretty sexy too. surfer Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 Crucial 7'2" M XF drop shot pared with a Daiwa Tierra 2000 is my favorite fishing rig. I also have a 7ft MH G.Loomis IMX, but I use the Crucial much more. The crucial is lighter and similar in sensitivity. The IMX is probably the better rod and the weight difference is probably due to more strength. Quote
