Terry_ Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 Has anybody out there had as much success with the 4" Producto swim shad as I have? Has anybody heard of this lure? If not, I just gave up my secret weapon! I'm curious because I have not read about this lure anywhere, I found it a a local tackle shop and gave it a try. It works! I'm sorry that I have not included a picture. for the record, I do not work for Producto. ha ha! Quote
slomoe Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 this one? http://www.productolure.com/proddetail.php?prod=SHD310 how did it work? how'd you use it and what did you catch? Quote
Terry_ Posted October 25, 2007 Author Posted October 25, 2007 No, I'm sorry, the buzztail shad. I fish it texas rigged weightless, mostly over weed beds in shallow water, topwater like a buzzbait, I let it sink a little in any wholes in the cover. Quote
Super User Jeff H Posted October 25, 2007 Super User Posted October 25, 2007 The Buzztail Shad is killer hot . Quote
gatrboy53 Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 producto products have been proven winners for many yrs. back in the 80's thay are baits that the pros used to great extent and some still use them today. Quote
Guest avid Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 A 3" swimbait?? Mister Twister missed the marketing boat. The sassy shad is really a swimbait. Quote

Super User .dsaavedra. Posted October 25, 2007 Super User Posted October 25, 2007 sassy shads and swimbaits like that dont have very good action. the big flat sides tip the lure over on its side and cause it to go on a plane. now they might work if you put a belley weight on them to keep em upright....but the tail action still aint that great. i like their tournement worms. they look like they have good action...cheap prices tooo!!! $4 and some change for 20 worms!!! thats great if you ask me. Super User Jeff H Posted October 26, 2007 Super User Posted October 26, 2007 I don't have any of their Shad, but I have some of their 3" Mullets, and this summer finally a found a situation where they earn their keep. I'll be getting some more of these now. The shads and Mullets are not Producto's best baits, not even close. I was about ready to give up on them but glad I didn't. Quote
