I just bought the banjo minnow 006. After waiting for some time, about 5 weeks i got the kit. I liked the new colors and i used the older ones before, and caught some fish. I started using the minnows a few days ago. I found out that that company Tristar Inc sold hundreds of flawed minnow kits to customers. I was just luck to get a flawed kit also. I emailed the company for help but they didnt reply. These minnows are worse than the older 2004 minnows( which actually worked). I dont suggest anyone buy the new banjo minnow 006 kit.If you check the web site, they didnt even finish the 006 big fish kit, and they are still selling those flawed baits. Guys dont buy this lure, save your money. >:P This is site http://www.banjominnow.com/

My brother just bought a kit (without consulting with me) but I didn't see anything out of the ordinary. Could you let me know what the flaw is so that I can tell him? Thanks!

i had these when i was a kid.....had to be before 04 though

i never had any luck at all....the commercial guarenteed a fish every cast or siomething like that

i just remember them, they had that flourescent green color......real obnoxiouse looking

I SEE FLYING LURES ARE STILL AROUND TOO.....they were better, but still pretty crappy,,,,they seemed better for fishing from a boat

islandbass, the main flaw to this bait is that it doesnt swim at all like the old 2004 minnows. The new 006 minnows are heavier. The ones seen in the flash video on the site are not the ones your going to get. Even with the swim cuts the bait holographic foil makes it sink. I like the banjo minnow thats why i bought another kit, but this new kit is worse. Instead of going forward, in making the lure better. They make the minnows look better and got rid of the O-ring and corkscrews, but it lost most of the movement. Which is the main purpose of the banjo minnow.

We anglers are always looking for a miracle lure when it is location, technique and presentation. If KVD and I were in a boat he would kick my butt with any lure so most times it is NOT the lure.

True, but it's hard to resist the "lets go fish!" guy.

Ha, ha! What is that thing? The "pocket fisherman" or something? That sounds like something that'll make you go blind if you use it too much.

i had a friend that used the banjo  minnow and caught bass all the time and even a catfish all about 10 years ago i was shocked how well the worked i used to make fun of him for using them. But the new ones look abit funny. i have used the flying lure all it is, is a flat tube that wobbles when it sinks. but it works .

if these lures were packed in a zip lock baggie had six in a pack, like all the other soft plastic would you feel any different, no probley not, most soft plastic look pretty dumb but work.

this is another pic of new 006 minnows, as you can see their not finished. I still believe the banjo minnow works and wayne is a good guy. Its just the  006 minnows are not finished and still are have flaws.

i still dont see whats wrong with those physically, they look finished to me. but i understand what you mean about killing the action. those original banjo minnow look like about the only TV lure that is worth it. i still wouldnt by any tho.
