I'm trying to find my brand or rods.  Everybody has one that they really like, and stick with.  Some may be Loomis, Kistler, St. Croix, so on and so forth.  I have a had a Shimano Clarus rod for about three years now and I have been very pleased with it.  I need a new spinning rod and was thinking about a Compre.  Does anyone own one of these rods?  Are they a good rod?  All my reels are Shimano so I figured it would be cool to have all Shimano rods.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

I have three Compre baitcasters (two 6'6" MH and one 6'10" MH) and they've been my go to rods until just recently when I've started upgrading to a few higher end models.  Very light and sensitive tip for the money with an exposed blank reel seat (except the 6'10" as its an older model).  Highly recommended for the price.  I haven't tried a spinning model but I'm sure they're of the same caliber.

I bought a 7' M/XF Compre 2 weeks ago and so far i absolutely love it. Its well worth the price IMO. If you decide to buy it you will not be disappointed i promise.

For the components and graphite it possesses, it is VERY tough to beat at its price point.

I have a 2 piece spinning MH that I need to have two piece for convenience, and I use it for applications ranging from drop shot to jigs and cranks.  It is an awesome all arounder.

I too have a Clarus casting rod and if you like a Clarus, you will love a Compre.

I do not think you will be disappointed with the Compre of your choice. Some models even have the cut away in the foregrip for your finger and that IMHO is a nice touch.

I have a 6'3" Compre spinning rod ( Medium power/ XF ) that I used all last year and it is a very good rod. I believe if you like the Clarus, you'll love the Compre.

Well I went into gander mountain today with my heart set on a Compre, but I ended up with something different.  My buddy that works there talked me into a St. Croix Premier.  I didn't really want a St. Croix but I compared it with the Compre and it was way more sensitive!  I don't like the design of it as much but the sensitivity is what sold me! Do any of you own Premiers?  What are your thoughts on them?

Can't go wrong with that rod, Premeir. I also have one along with 3 Avids. These are some of my better rods.
