Looking at getting a 6'8" Cumara, should I get the medium or medium/X-fast? Using light line 8 to 10lb range spooled on a Mg51 for catching white bass. Hope to hear from actual owners here, thanks  :)

I just got the 6"8" M-XF. I've only use it once, but I'm impressed. I haven't used the fast version, so take what I'm saying with a grain of salt.

I would guess that you'll want the fast, not the extra fast model. The one I have has a surprising amount of backbone for such a light weight, medium power rod. The first bass I caught with this stick was on a Super Fluke, and was in less than two feet of water. When I set the hook, I launched him out of the water. It was a nice fat almost two pounder, and the rod didn't bend very far before getting into it's power, and putting some serious pressure on the fish.

The X-fast just might be a bit more stick than you need for whites.

Cheers,

GK
