Lightninrod Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 MB Jabberwock Evolution/Daiwa Custom: Dan Whats the deal with that offset butt on that rod..? It's a patented design by Megabass and is called the "slant bridge" handle. Â It allows for a more comfortable tucking in of the handle beneath your arm when playing a fish. Â It fits the arm's angle more closely. And, thanks RW! Dan Quote
Olebiker Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 I really appreciate you guys posting this stuff. Â I was able to point out to SWMBO that I have about ten percent as much money invested in fishing tackle as most of you guys. Quote
The_Natural Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 Did you sell off some Heliums L-rod? Â I knew you had a several MB's, but I thought you had 5 or 6 Heliums. Â Nothing wrong with upgrading...just wondering. Â Every time I replace a rod with a better one, I sell as well...I don't need 20 rods, although I have 12 at the moment, which is more than I need. Â I only have 10 reels currently. Â Quote
Super User islandbass Posted October 12, 2007 Super User Posted October 12, 2007 My arsenal is far from complete. For Bass: 7' Lamiglas Certified Pro ML action, Drop Shot Special Rod/Size 20 Rapala 6Sxi spinning reel - Drop Shot/Finesse rig 6'6" Lamiglas Competitor 4 power (med action) casting rod - Top Water, Cranks, T-rigs, my "all around casting rod" 6'10" Shimano Crucial MH casting rod - Jigs & T-rigs Trunk Rods: 6'6" Medium Action Shimano Clarus Casting Rod 6'6" Medium Heavy Shimano Compre Spinning Rod With the exceptions of my Drop Shot and UL rigs, I don't keep my reels permanently assigned to any rod and vice versa except. I have at my disposal: Shimano Cardiff 301A, Curado BSF 201, Curado 201 DHSV, Abu Garcia 5 Star Round, Pflueger Trion Casting, Shimano Symetre 2500, Rapala 4Sxi (size 30), Daiwa 1500 Sweepfire. I have other rods that are not worth mentioning or for salmon. And just for fun: 7' Okuma Celilo UL Action rod/Abu Garcia Cardinal 101a - Ultra-light set up. This is a blast to fish with! Quote

He claims he's won over $4,000  using it in tournaments roll-casting and pitching jigs with it 8-).  I use the M and the H almost every time I fish along with my MBs.  I rarely use my ML Helium as it's too "light"(in action) for my tastes. Dan Quote
ABC123 Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 Ok, my funny didn't get much response, so I'll go with my real collection. Loomis IMX SJR783S with Pflueger supreme spinning reel. General purpose Bass and 'Eye rod. Loomis GLX BSR803 with   "        "      "     "  . For plastics Loomis WJR741S 'eye rod with   "     "      "    "   . For vertical jigging for 'Eye's Loomis IMX SJR721S with   "     President size 20 spin reel (for sunfish and crappies) Loomis IMX MBR785C With a Abu Revo premier, or Pflueger supreme baitcaster soon to be purchased for it. Going to try as new crankbait rod, otherwise it will be a spinner/buzzbait rod among other heavier duty things and for some 'EYE applications too. Loomis IMX CR721C with Zebco platinum 11 spincast reel (was for sunfish and crappies, now will get a baitcaster for skipping and the other half will now use as panfish rod too) Berkley Avenger glass rod that has been used for cranks. It's an old rod I've been through a lot with. I have a feeling I might still end up with a crankbait rod in the distant future, I'll see how this fast action MBR rod works. Quote
