Noboat Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Is the side plate (or other parts) of the Shimano Citica made of plastic? Their web page says "aluminum frame", but nothing about the side plates. It feels like plastic to me. Quote
Noboat Posted April 14, 2008 Author Posted April 14, 2008 Graphite composite. Is that fancy plastic? Quote
TruflShufl Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 No it's graphite composite ;D http://www.performancecomposites.com/design_guide2.html Quote
The Next KVD Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 The Citica is a very dependable reel! Just make sure that you don't accidently spray carb & choke cleaner on the sideplate. the graphite compostite melts if it gets sprayed by this stuff. Quote
