JT Bagwell Posted April 12, 2008 Posted April 12, 2008 The boys in Brown delivered my new Pflueger Patriarch reels yesterday. These things look and feel Awesome Baby!!! In typical fashion, a cold front came through and it is in the mid 30's and trying to snow right now. Looks like I will have to wait until mid-week before I can get out and test these bad dudes. I also ordered the Pflueger Supreme XT spinning reels, but they didn't arrive yet. Here is the Pflueger Patriarch, I am already impressed by this piece of equipment. JT Bagwell Quote
Super User Micro Posted April 12, 2008 Super User Posted April 12, 2008 Sweet looking reel. I really like that titanium finish. If it's as good as my JM Elite, it's an awesome reel. Quote
JT Bagwell Posted April 12, 2008 Author Posted April 12, 2008 Yeah Micro, I think Pflueger took it to the next level with this reel. It is sweet looking. I just wish I could hit the water today instead of freezing. JT Bagwell Quote
joshmb1999 Posted April 12, 2008 Posted April 12, 2008 JT - do you have any summits? how do you think the 2 compare? Quote
JT Bagwell Posted April 13, 2008 Author Posted April 13, 2008 JT - do you have any summits? how do you think the 2 compare? Yes I have several of the Summits. So far I really have nothing to compare except for the visual aspects and the Patriarch wins that hands down. I will give you an update once this front moves through and I can get on the water. Big Tom Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 I saw one of these a few months ago at a local tackle shop. They are one fo the best looking reels I have ever seen. I have wanted one really bad since then but I haven't been able to talk myself into paying that much for a reel. Let us know how it treats you. Quote

I guess right handed reels sell a lot better. I am left handed, but I use right handed baitcasters. Part of that is because when I was a kid I got hand me down reels from my grandpa and he is right handed. On the plus side, I do not have to switch hands after I cast so it saves time in a tournament. JT Bagwell Quote
