Super User 5bass Posted April 14, 2008 Super User Posted April 14, 2008 I bought a ASR 7'2" MH about 2 months ago for pitching and throwing jigs. Being a $75 dollar rod, I wasn't expecting too much but they looked good and I've always thought All Star made a good rod so I went ahead and got it. So far this spring, it's the rod I've got the most use out of. It's fairly light, plenty sensitive and can withstand a rock solid hookset. It handles really well and has great backbone strength. I have a Revo Premier on it right now and the overall combined weight is minimal for a MH set-up over 7' long. I would recommend that anyone looking for a rod under $100 to give the ASR's a look. I'm glad I did. I'm ordering another one (maybe two) tomorrow. Quote
Thefishy1 Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 X2 my two are still going strong and after a 4 months of use, I still love everything about them Quote

Guest muddy Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Are these the same blanks as on the Team All Star IM-10, with different split grips on them instead? Quote
BigBrotherThunda Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Yeah i htink so, but the action seems alot faster to me, which i like in a heavy worm/jig rod. Quote
