zbigbadaaron Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 How important are baitcasters in bass fishing? Quote
LakeAnnaBasser Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 I wouldnt say their important its just what your comfortable with using. So their not important at all because you can still fish with spinning. I do like to use bait casters better though Quote
TruflShufl Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 I feel like 200% better of a fisherman with a baitcaster than any spinning setup I've ever used. That goes for just about any rig I throw. Everyone is different though, so try one and gauge it for yourself! 8-) Quote
Super User .RM. Posted April 16, 2008 Super User Posted April 16, 2008 IMPO it depends on what structure your fishing as to how important a BC setup is. For example heavy wooded or grass cover and I personally think your in trouble using a SP setup. Fishing open deep water you can go either way etc... So it really depends on the structure your fishing, as to how important any setup is. Not to high jack here but TruflShufl.. Visited your blogg and you need a little more contrast on the page, (black background and dark fonts are not conducive to good reading).... Tight Lines!!!! Quote
soccplayer07 Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 good post. looking forward to hearing these answers... Quote
Super User Alpster Posted April 16, 2008 Super User Posted April 16, 2008 How important are baitcasters in bass fishing? I fish with baitcasters 90% of the time. Ronnie Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted April 16, 2008 Super User Posted April 16, 2008 As reelmechanic alluded to, it just depends on where you fish, how you fish and what you are using. I fish both spinning and baitcasting equipment and like them equally, but I have a high preference for one over the other when using specific techniques. 8-) Quote
