I finally got a hold of some Suffix line today and tried it out.  I have tried pretty much every other braided line and had shyed away from Suffix and veered towards every other brand for some reason.  I have probably tried 5 different lines and been unsatisfied with all of them.  Every one of them ended up in the trash.

So then recently I read all the good reviews on here for Suffix and Power Pro, decided to try Suffix.  Man what a difference.  It has so many less poor traits than the other braids I had tried.

I love it, never going back.  Just wanted to let yall know.

Is Power Pro one of the braids you tried? If so, what are the differences between it and the Sufix?

No, Power Pro and Suffix were pretty much the only two I had not tried.  I guess I shied away from them because they arent traditional line maker brand names that I knew (Stren), nor had they been marketed a great deal when braid first came out (Spiderwire, Fireline).

i've only tried powerpro, sufix and the spiderwire braid (stealth, i think?) and i found the sufix to be the best line of the 3. i've only used it on a baitcaster but i'll be throwing some on a spinning setup before too long to give it a tryout.

I fish mostly with spinning tackle, and just recently I compared PowerPro braid with Sufix braid.

It seems that any difference between these lines is largely illusory, but I did notice one thing.

The Sufix is slightly more wiry than the PowerPro, but lack-of-memory is what I love most about spinning with braid.

So for me, that was the tie-breaker that keeps me in the PowerPro camp.

There is a big difference bt the Power Pro and Suffix Performance.  The Suffix Performance has 6 strings and the PP has 4.  Maybe you tried a different Suffix, I know they have different brands.

Again, I have not tried PP, I need to but Im gonna be hard pressed to use anything but Suffix after my good experience with it.

The only thing I dont like is like all braid it is still pretty visible in the water.  I have been practicing my uni knots though and my next purchase will be some floroucarbon.

My thoughts exactly. I recently gave Sufix Performance Braid a very fair try, but didn't like it as much as Power Pro. Granted, it's still a good braid, but a little more wiry, and actually a little louder on the reel. Because of the wiriness, it didn't cast quite as far as PP. Another annoying thing about Sufix was when I first used it (yellow color), the powdered dye came off on my guides and on my hands.

Unless something new comes out, I'm sticking with my Power Pro. I took the Sufix off the spinning setup I was using and replaced the Power Pro, and it's just more of a pleasure to fish, IMO.

I'm well aware of that, which probably explains why sufix is stiffer than PowerPro (fluorocarbon is only one strand).
