Super User Bassn Blvd Posted April 14, 2008 Super User Posted April 14, 2008 Does anyone own these or used them. What are your opinions? Quote
aggiebassin Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 very nice reel. super light. casts a mile. i really like mine Quote
Super User KU_Bassmaster. Posted April 14, 2008 Super User Posted April 14, 2008 IMO the Chronarch 50Mg is the "perfect" reel for most bass fishing. Quote
Super User flechero Posted April 14, 2008 Super User Posted April 14, 2008 I have and use 5 of them.... and am honestly considering another. I keep a couple of them with the curado 100B spools in them for increased line capacity. (since i use mostly heavy mono) I guess I like them pretty well. ...lol I really think they are a great value in reels... very light, cast awesome, very smooth drag, look cool, etc. I place a high premium on light weight so if you don't, temper this endorsement a little. ...lol Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted April 14, 2008 Super User Posted April 14, 2008 IMO the Chronarch 50Mg is the "perfect" reel for most bass fishing. This is a very common comment from those that own or have fished the reel. 8-) Quote
KB Nation Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Awesome reel! Very light, silky smooth and very durable! You wont be disappointed, thats for sure! Quote

Super User Raul Posted April 14, 2008 Super User Posted April 14, 2008 I wouldn 't say perfect, if it were perfect I would have traded my other reels in favor of the Chronarch Mg, it 's an excellent reel at a very good price taking in consideration that most magnesium reels cost a lot more than it. 5.9 ounces, good line capacity, castig easiness, no temperamental braking system, no temperamental drag system, clicking drag star for 250 bones ..... it don 't get better than that for that kind of money. djmax22 Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 I just purchased one early this season. All I can say is that I just purchased another one. Unbelievable when you couple this reel to a GLX. This reel is worth every penny. Quote

Super User Raul Posted April 14, 2008 Super User Posted April 14, 2008 Don 't forget to order a Shimano baitcast neoprene reel cover ! The reel doesn 't come with one, it comes with a reel pouch, the cover is a must if you want to keep the clear coat of the reel, it 's scratch/peel prone. Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted April 15, 2008 Author Super User Posted April 15, 2008 Thanks Raul... Quote
Ballistik Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Jonny Morris baitcast reel covers fit shimano 100 size reels like a glove. I have one on every reel I have. Check Ebay I picked up 8 for 24 dollars. Quote
