fishingfrenzy Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 Ahh... the bait monkey can't seem to keep his fingers out of my wallet. Just when I thought a new reel was enough.. I HAD to get a new rod.. then the LC Sammy was calling my name... so I bought that. Within the first 15 mins of using it, it got baptized by a 4 pound bass. So of course, after I caught a 4 pound bass first time out using it.. I HAD to get another. Then came the Arbogast jitterbug g700 ( quite cheaper than a LC, but still $6). Then the monkey got involved in my life again, and just made me buy another $70 worth of lures. Now thanks to the baitmonkey, I'm broke > Does anybody feel my pain ;D Quote
Super User Tin Posted October 19, 2007 Super User Posted October 19, 2007 Because of one day and twenty fish, I just had to get a bunch of Terminator Pro Top Secret Jigs. About $200 bucks worth to be exact. The worst part is I have all jigs and no trailers. lol. Have to wait till next Friday to get those flippin blue, black, and green pumpkin Paca craws. :'( Quote
BassFishingMachine Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 I made a order on basspro and bought 6 booyah baby boo jigs in 5/16 ounce, and some paca trailers and a new booyah spinner, and a rapala shad rap, and 3 War Eagle jigs. The only problem is I really didn't want the booyah jigs in 5/16 ounce, I ment to order them in 3/16 ounce >. I mean I can still put 5/16 ounce to use by using it to break through pads/weeds, but 3/16 is what I normaly throw. So now I have to make another order and get them in 3/16 ounce. And you know its impossible to make a order and just buy 1 thing, ah but w/e money is ment to be spent. Quote
Super User Jimzee Posted October 19, 2007 Super User Posted October 19, 2007 I feel your pain. Last night I ordered $200.00 worth of GYCB Flappin' Hogs. Then spent $25.00 on overnight shipping to have them here by tomorrow when I head out. Yeah, I know, I'm crazy. :-[ Quote
basspro48 Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 The baitmonkey has gotten me yet but he will tomorrow...headin up to Greentop and Gander Mountain for another Loomis, another Citica, and most likely a whole pile of other stuff 8-) Quote
Super User Alpster Posted October 19, 2007 Super User Posted October 19, 2007 I feel your pain also. I hit up Cabellas for a couple of tackle bags and several spools of Yo-Zuri Ultra soft. I would probably have just spent that money on something frivolous like food or medicine. Ronnie Quote
dman Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 last 4 days: Gander MT - stocked up on some more senkos, Venom Tubes, grabbed a few rapala rattle traps and a Falcon spinnerbait box (works great but overpriced!) Hookerztackle.com = War Eagle Spinnerbaits, Tube Jig heads (they also sent me a free pack of Black Widow tubes that seem real nice) My fishing days are numbered here but i cant stop Quote
rondef Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 The bait monkey reaches into my wallet at least once a week. The wife is getting ticked at the bait monkey. Quote
Davis Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 The bait monkey reaches into my wallet at least once a week. The wife is getting ticked at the bait monkey. Thankfully my wife was gone on her day off today. I was able to sneak home on lunch break and intercept my * order. Also had time to put it away into my stash. There is no evidence left. Quote
Super User Jimzee Posted October 19, 2007 Super User Posted October 19, 2007 The monkey had stopped by the house today and delivered one of my orders by the front door. There is no end to the madness. :-[ Hi, my name is Blaine and I'm a tackleholic. Quote
Super User Tin Posted October 19, 2007 Super User Posted October 19, 2007 So I need jig trailers and a haircut (moms mad because my hair is starting to curl over my hat). So I take out $40 and head over to grab some super and jr. chunks. Well I walk in and it just so happens for some reason Zoom and Strike King are right next to each other in the aisle. Well pick up a couple packages of trailers and I look to my left and OHHH BOY! In a box, not on the shelf yet are all Strike King Sexy shad series 3-6 and Sexy Shad Red Eyes (Strike kINGS new version of a rat-l-trap. Well lets just say the total came to 40.18, good thing I had a quarter in my pocket and moms still mad. Quote
