I have trouble seeing my line above the water surface using clear mono - and I REALLY have trouble with the flurocarbon.  I have tried Berkley Transitions in red, but it wasn't as visible as I thought that it would be.  I am thinking of going to try Berkley Big Game Green.  Is there any school of thought out there that says that the line will spook more fish since it is so visible?  I will be using this line on a plastic worm pole.

Thanks!

Yellow braid with a flouro leader. you could see that from space!! My dad has trouble seeing lines and uses flourecent green line with a leader. when we fish together sometimes this setup distracts me!!! It looks like he is fishing with a light sabre!!!

Im my little world...  I would like to not mess around with leaders, etc. if at all possible.  I would go with a nice bright fluro if one was available.

suffix elite in hi-vis yellow works pretty well.

I use Trilene XL in Clear Blue Fluorescent. Very visible above water, (even on cloudy days) but not below.

use yellow or white braid and color the last 10 feet black with a permanent marker.

I switch between Big Game Green, Amber, & Dark Blue for the exact reason you are talking about; I notice no difference in the amount of bites I get.

Green mono will be even less visible to your eye than clear.

Yep.  That is why I use crystal clear CXX versus the moss green.  I can see it well enough above water, yet will match any water conditions.  If you want bright, I'd probably go clear blue fluorescent.  You can even get CXX in clear blue...
