SV1000 Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 I either end up with a backlash, a 4' cast or extra line wrapped around my grip and drag. Please explain this in depth or post some links to good articles. Thanks! Quote
Bass Tracker Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 Go to Bass Pro Shops website and click on the video seminars link. Watch the flippin and pitchin video with Denny Brauer. Listen and study the video closely then practice, practice, practice! Hope this helps. Quote

Bass Tracker Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 Hey guys if you like watching videos you can buy KVD's 3 disc set at BPS for $9.95 which has alot of good info. Contains Pitchin to heavy hitters, Strategies for changing conditions, and Proven spinnerbait techniques. These videos are older productions but still good, first two videos I believe were produced in 2001 or 2002, and the last video in 1991 or 1992. Also heard that The Bass Pros season one video has lots of good info, but have not seen it yet. Quote

If you look at Edwin and Stacey you can get some hints by watching them but they really don't explain it at all. Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted April 11, 2008 Super User Posted April 11, 2008 That boat look awful small. Quote
Olebiker Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 I watched Denny Brauer give a seminar at Bass Pro Shops on pitching and flipping. He said to set the spool tension so that the bait just drops slowly to the floor and the spool stops turning when the bait hits the floor. He also talked about keeping the lure very close to the water as you are pitching it. Quote
Super User cart7t Posted April 12, 2008 Super User Posted April 12, 2008 How do you get a backlash while you flip when you don't even release the spool? :-? Quote
MyKeyBe Posted April 12, 2008 Posted April 12, 2008 So let me get this straight cart. Are you saying they are two different things? :) http://www.bassresource.com/fish/flip&pitch.html Quote
