hawgchaser Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 Can anyone give me some reviews on this line. I put it on 2 reels and it casts great. I don't know much about it and haven't really been able to test it. So whats the word on this stuff? Quote
Super User eyedabassman Posted April 11, 2008 Super User Posted April 11, 2008 Good line I have used it for a few years! Good stuff. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted April 11, 2008 Super User Posted April 11, 2008 I experimented with the Triple Fish Fluorocarbon a couple of years ago. I spooled up some #4 for a trout trip and found that it broke easily by hand! I lost all confidence in the line and never fished the line or some other #6 I had purchased. The line was unfishable and I threw it away. p.s. I tried to visit their website to see if X Rated is a different line, but their website is down. Wassup with that? > Quote
hawgchaser Posted April 11, 2008 Author Posted April 11, 2008 Their webpage seems to be working fine. The X Rated is a co-ploymer that they claim is 500% more resistant than mono. It also has a pretty small diameter. I don't know how it hold up but the stuff casts great. I put 15lb on 2 BCs and really like the castability but don't know about its tuffness. http://www.triplefish.net/line/x-rated/index.html Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted April 11, 2008 Super User Posted April 11, 2008 When I typed in "triple fish line" I got this: http://www.triplefish.net/ Anyhow, I'm glad you like it, I never really gave it a try because of my initial experience with the fluorocarbon. 8-) Quote
Super User Tin Posted April 11, 2008 Super User Posted April 11, 2008 Great stuff, RW their fluoro is weak and not their best product. But Thieir X-Rated and mono (original camo) is great stuff. A little thicker (.ooooooooooo1) but better abrasion resistance than any other mono around. Quote
