Madhouse27 Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 I was looking through the new Cabelas catalog and noticed the attractive price on the Whuppin' Stick rods. I was trying to determine if one of these would be right for my application. I have a large oriental rug in my living room. In the spring we like to take it outside, hang it up and beat some of the dust out of it. It's fairly large so I was thinking the 7'2" Heavy Spinning model might be the proper choice. Now I know it was designed "to go after tackle busting lunkers" but something tells me it might just be a better rug beater. Quote
The_Natural Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 Sounds like the proper model choice. Don't forget this rod can double as an instrument to clean your dryers lint shoot. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted April 7, 2008 Super User Posted April 7, 2008 I would go with a casting rod instead, the guides are smaller. Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted April 7, 2008 Super User Posted April 7, 2008 It's good to finally see some one who knows how to use that rod !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote

Madhouse27 Posted April 8, 2008 Author Posted April 8, 2008 Thank you all for your input. This might be a good idea for a thread "Alternate uses for a Whuppin' Stik" ;D Quote
Willzx225 Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 I would go with a casting rod instead, the guides are smaller. I agree. x2 - the trigger also decreases the chance of slippage thus decreasing the chance of the unhappy wife when you knock her favorite flower pot off the porch. ;D Quote
