bassin_man Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 Well it happened yesterday one of my combo's went into the water. Does anyone have any tips/trips on helping to possibly retrieve it? I just hate to think of it just sitting there on the bottom of the lake. Quote
Guest muddy Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 Get a weighted large snagging treble hook and a large sinker and drag the bottom Quote
toolpush Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 get one of those metal stringers with the large clasps tie on rod open all clasps and drag around tell you find and retrieve Quote

Wesley Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 get one of those metal stringers with the large clasps tie on rod open all clasps and drag around tell you find and retrieve Works better if you use a nylon rope with the stringer so u dont snag up and possibly break your rod or lose the stringer too. hawgchaser Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 Don't look for it. This is the perfect excuse to buy a new rig!!! Quote
topwaterbob Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 Keep a marker bouy handy. Just drop it in right where the rod went in and you have a great idea where to drag for it. Quote
TruflShufl Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 Keep a trained Dolfin in your livewell ;D Kind of like a trunk monkey...cept it's a "Livewell Dolphin"!!! ;D Quote
XbassmasterX Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 how deep is the lake where you droped it?? Quote
xft116 Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 use one of those underwater cameras that they use for ice fishing lower it down over where you dropped it and you can watch as you try to snag it i retrieved a cell phone out of a hole in the ice a week after i dropped it in the hole and it still worked LOL Quote
