How did you hear of this?  Only a select few of us are supposed to know that word even exists.

I really don't know what it means. All of the mooching rods I've seen were really long...like 10 ft. so I guess it's just a really long rod.

My coworker is a bigtime salmon guy. How bout this he came in yesterday with his new MOOCHING ROD!!!!!!! I asked him about it and he got on line and pulled this for me, this should expalin it to you. Hows that for coincidence? Here ya go:

Thanks Muddy! I'm still up in the air on a swimbait rod for 1 to 3 oz or so and saw Gloomis had a Mooching rod listed rated for 1 to 5oz and was wondering what Mooching was.
