Guest muddy Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 To all doubters of the American Rodsmiths H3 Titanium Ultra...I have talked to several guides (all not endorsed, sponsored, or in any way affiliated with American Rodsmiths.) Most have said they SWEAR by it. Two of them used to be die-hard G-Loomis men and a third was exclusivly St. Croix. Most of them said the American Rodsmiths H3 Titanium Ultra was the best rod they've ever seen. I've fished a baitcasting model, and it's a DREAM!! I own one of the H3 Titaniums, and it's the best I've ever handled. ( I've fished with everything form G-Loomis, St. Croix, Custom, Shimano, you name it!) American Rodsmiths H3 Titanium Ultra= BEST ROD ON THE MARKET! Dude! This is your third endorsement. You are 16 years old. Give it a rest. You might not have given them all a try. . Quote

I HAVE BEEN USING FENWICK RODS LONGER THAN YOU ARE ALIVE. I NEVER TALK ABOUT ANYTHIING I HAVE NOT USED, IT IS BASED ON EXPERIENCE NOT ON OPINION.JUST 4 DAYS AGO YOU ANSWERED A PM I SENT YOU TO BUY A FENWICK YOU HAD FOR SALE AND YOU WERE STATING YOU HAD TO GET YOUR PRICE BECAUSE YOU WANTED TO BUY YOUR FIRST AMERICIAN RODSMITHS RODS, SO THE MOST YOU COULD POSSIBLY HAVE IS 4 DAYS USE. The_Natural Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 Come on' yall...the H3 Titanium is the blowjob of rods! Sure Gary Loomis was scratchin' his arse with denser graphite than the H3 portraits, but better late than never! The GLX has nothin' on these sensitivity whores! Bass are powerless and instantly succumb to American Rodsmith's superiority in hopes of being released. Quote
Super User Jimzee Posted April 3, 2008 Super User Posted April 3, 2008 Looks like we have another self proclaimed fishing expert on the board. It's good that you support the products you believe in. At least use them first and quit relying on hear-say from others before forming an opinion. That's all the guys are trying to say. BTW, Muddy, is there any of that popcorn left? Quote

I guess that makes it the best : There use to be an acronym but either way I hope those guides do well because if they handed me a rod I had not heard of I would get off the boat and fish from shore Quote
Pencil Pusher Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 Amen, and until now i have never heard anyone talk about that rod, I wonder why? Probably because your 13 years old and in Canada. Quote

Actually In that PM I said I was getting a new Curado, and I'd need a NEW rod for it. I've been using American Rodsmiths for the past decade! The H3 that I own now I've had for 6 months. Out of all the rods I've owned or fished with (like I said before I've fished with most brands, granted I haven't held a $500 Loomis but..........) The H3 Titanium Ultra is my favorite! The H3 Titanium I have right now, is my favorite out of ALL the rods I've ever owned. Like I said It's just my opinion. I'm not saying my opinion is "Gospel Truth" Ya'll are knocking me for reccomending my favorite rod, like it's the best, which I think it's the best! If you like a rod are you going to say......."Ya, it's an ok rod, you'll like it." Or are you gonna say............"It's the best rod I've used, I'd highly reccomed it!" If ya like something a LOT you're gonna say so! If soemone asks you..............."do you like to fish?" What are you gonna say? You ain't gonna say..................."ya I fish every now and then." I think you'd say....."fishing is my passion!" or something like that. Ya see where I'm going.................???? Tight Lines 8-) Quote

tyrius. Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 I've been using American Rodsmiths for the past decade! Since you were 6?!?! You're dad must have a heck of a lot of good fishing tackle if you were using a rod like that at 6 years old. I must've been deprived when I was a kid, I only got to use a Zebco with a worm and a bobber! Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted April 3, 2008 Super User Posted April 3, 2008 Popping Rod = Designed for inshore saltwater fishing live bait (shrimp, etc.) or plastic imitation under a popping cork. I have a G.Loomis PR844S which might be my favorite piece of equipment, but it is not an all-around rod. The tip is too soft for many applications. For the most part, this is my smallmouth rod and used primarily for fishing live shiners on a split shot rig. 8-) Quote

I must've been deprived when I was a kid, I only got to use a Zebco with a worm and a bobber! You're right. My primary rig was a Rat L Trap with a Zebco 33. However, I always remember always hoping to use the "big rod" Which my dad would soemthimes let me use. When I was seven we found one for $25 at a garage sale. it was a 6'6' worm rod. That was my first "real" rod. I LOVED IT!! Sorry, I lied I've only been using AR for the past 9 years and 7 mothns. not a full decade. Hey, we're getting off topic. PM me if you really have that much to say about it. Quote

The tip is too soft for typical soft plastic and jig presentations. However, once the tip is loaded, this is a very powerful rod! The smallmouth in my avatar were boated using the PR844S. 8-) Quote

Guest muddy Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 Every time I view this thread a fly keeps trying to land on my monitor Quote
SINDBasser Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 Not to hi-jack the thread but back to the original post I am certainly not an expert but you really are talking about different techniques. For a jig or worm rod most prefer a fast action ultra sensitive model i.e. IMX, GLX, Steez, and so forth, on the other hand for crankbaits I prefer a slower action with a softer tip. $250 is a lot of money to spend on a rod that you might not be very happy with and, although it will buy you a quality rod, you might prefer to spend about half of that on a very good rod and save the rest for another outfit. JMHO Quote
Chad. Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 Amen, and until now i have never heard anyone talk about that rod, I wonder why? Probably because your 13 years old and in Canada. K bud : Canada has nothing to do with it as we all have the internet now anyways. Also being 14 doesn't have much to do with it either : Quote
