pieman123 Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 I have a Plufenger President (spinning) and it says that it can take 145 yards of 8lb testline. The thing is it holds no where near this. I can only get around 50 yards before line starts to jump off the spool. What could be the problem? Thanks Quote
Guest muddy Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 NOT TRUE IT is the only reel I use the x6735 and I have 120 yds of 8lb on each of them? What size do you have? Quote
Guest muddy Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 I have used these reels for a few years and exclusively they absolutely hold the suggested amount of 140/8 yards, I prefer 120 yds Something is not right Quote
pieman123 Posted March 31, 2008 Author Posted March 31, 2008 I actually have two of them and it seems to happen on both of them, so what could I be doing wrong to have this problem occur? Quote
Guest muddy Posted March 31, 2008 Posted March 31, 2008 How are you spooling the? Make sure that the line is coming off the feeder spool in the same direction it is going onto the reel spool, other wise you are running intoo major twisting problems and that will cause major coiling. Try fliping the feeder spool the other way or somehow walk the line off the reel and reel it back it see what happens. Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted March 31, 2008 Super User Posted March 31, 2008 Do you have any tension on the line at all ? Quote
