deep-cranker Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 Does any one recommend braided lines for crankbaits? Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted March 28, 2008 Super User Posted March 28, 2008 I use braid with a st. croix fiberglass rod . I set my drag a little lighter then I would if I was using mono. Quote
Super User dodgeguy Posted March 29, 2008 Super User Posted March 29, 2008 i use braid cranking over weeds and deep cranking weed edges.i use flouro cranking rocks .set your drag looser and you will not lose fish. Quote
deep-cranker Posted March 29, 2008 Author Posted March 29, 2008 thanks for the info...I never used braid for cranks before, just mono and flurocarbon. Quote
JT Bagwell Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 I used to use PowerPro exclusively when I fished a crankbait. However, one thing I found is when you are fishing areas with a lot of wood or other snags, it is very hard to pop your bait free like you can do with Monofilament and Flourocarbon lines. So now I use PowerPro for everything, but cranking. JT Bagwell Quote
