I put one through the paces last weekend.......perfect conditions for testing out a square-billed crank (fish were buried in cover).   I had to bust straight trough the middle of the bushes to get bit - - the Rapala worked great and I ended up with a very nice limit on a tough day.

I personally think it's pretty ugly....but the fish dug it, so that's good enough for me.   ;)

My favorite crank for this kind of thing is still the Lucky Craft RC 2.5, though - - alternating back and forth between the two I still like the more natural action and appearance of the LC - - but the Rapala is, IMO, a very good crank!

Bass pro near me(ft. meyers FL) had them,b ut I have yet to see em on BPS web site yet.I guess there is supposed to be another size due to come out, bigger and runs a little deeper. The monkey is calling again.I already have two each of my favorite colors in these.Olive,Silver, chart purp back, firetiger, parrot.

But any way, these cranks work pretty sweet as with all the dts and someone who hasnt won the lottery yet can buy them.

I have used most Rapala cranks (not the the DT Fat 3) but don't like them. I sold them all. I prefer these:

Looks like Imakatsu IK-50's.....I like them, too.   Not quite as much as RC 1.5's, but I dig them.......I haven't used them as much so I may change my mind some day... ;)

My O.S.P. Blitz Max should be arriving this week.......I really like the standard Blitz, so I'm expecting this one to be a winner, too.

BTW......I got my Rapala DT Fats at BPS (at the store).

Yes is an IK-50. I think you wont be disapointet with the blitz max. It's the same as the blitz just a bit bigger. I haven't used them but they look great!

Have you used the blitz mr?

I have never used these sepcific cranks from Rapala, although I have had them reccommended to me and have heard only great things about them. I do most fishing from the shore line, so I have no need to get the deeper diving ones. I am thinking about getting some DT4's for working the shallows around shore. Matched with some Rapala topwaters and jerkbaits, I'll be catching some fish.

yes the dt 4 is an awesome shallow bait.recommended. It wont bounce through logs/rogs and such as well as a square bill though.
