guitarkid Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 I have a quantum heat rod that is from the 80's? and it casts and loads up better on any bait with a treble hook(it is a graphite fiberglass composite). These are also more sensitive to this kind of fishing than a graphite rod.The tip flexes a lot more than a graphite rod so they do take some getting used to, But overall the 'glass rods are the best for cranks, etc... -searoach Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted March 26, 2008 Super User Posted March 26, 2008 I have a St. Croix fiberglass (6'6" , med/mod , 1/4-5/8 oz. spinning). I use braid with this set up and have very good luck keeping the fish from throwing the hook because of the fiberglass rod. Quote
