I am just starting to learn about braid, but i dont know what the best brand is, any suggestions?

I'm still using Power Pro which is a 4 strand braid. Next up will be Sufix Braid which is a 6 strand braid.  But from what I've heard is that the more strands, the less abrasive resistant the braid is.

I like the power pro.  I use 10 lb for my light spinning set up, 30 lb for frogs or rattle traps and 65 lb for my flippin stick...

Another PowerPro here

While I'm still using Power Pro is does have its drawbacks. Number one is it's tendency toward tip wrapping in the wind and it does make some weird noises going through the guides.

I fish 10# and 14# Stren Super Braid on my spinning gear and 20# Super Braid on my bait caster. The only reason I bumped up to 20 on the casting rod is that the thicker diameter line works better with it. I've also fished Spider Wire and they are pretty much equal. I fish a leader on all of them tied with a modified albright knot. I just learned it and it is simple and strong.

I use power pro but when useing treble hooks and casting into the wind it has a tendency to wrap itself in the hooks. I have 10 pound test, 2 pound diameter on right now but i would recommend bumping that up to at least the 20 pound test.

I think Powerpro is the best.  It seems to not cut into it's self on the spool as much as others.  I have tried several and this is favorite.

Power pro hands down.

I used Power Pro for quite a while and I see no reason to change.

But... I bought a spool of Suffix just to try it and compare to PP.

Now if this @&$%#** ICE woul go away.... :-/

It depends on what equipment you will be using it with.  If you are using a spinning combo, I prefer 20lb (6lb diameter), either PowerPro or Spiderwire Stealth.  If you are using a casting combo, I would at least use 30lb (8lb diameter) in PowerPro.

However, I too will be trying the new "Translucent" Spiderwire.....
