BassFishingMachine Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 I just started trying trailer baits with spinnerbaits, and its been working well. The trailer Ive been using so far is a Zoom White Swim Chunk Trailer. Which are some other good trailers that work well on spinnerbaits? Quote
Super User Catt Posted October 2, 2007 Super User Posted October 2, 2007 Any single or double tail grub will work Quote
AnglerNFuego Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 My favorite trailers are white or green zoom split tails and Yum Crawdad Chunk. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted October 2, 2007 Super User Posted October 2, 2007 Sometimes I use a GYCB double tail grub, but usually I find "no trailer" is the best trailer. Quote

Guest avid Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 lucky strike makes a thin split tail trailer that I like. I too did not use trailers and had good success, but then I heard Hank Parker say that he uses a white split tail trailer on every spinnerbait and uses it regardless of conditions. This impressed me. HP made alot of money in tournaments over the years with a spinnerbait so if he said "do it" I did it. But I'm kinda going back to my old ways, and having better luck. P/s - the trailers that come with chatter-type baits are actually spinnerbait trailers. Quote
ejtaylor822 Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Have tried several trailers without out much success - mainly split tail and single grubs in colors that match the skirt. Typically just go without anymore. Eddie Quote
Tokyo Tony Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 I never use trailers either, but if I did, I would use the ones that come with Booyah Boogiebaits. Quote
Jake. Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 I never use trailers on my spinnerbaits, It seems like they produce more short-striking bass. Quote
Super User Bassin_Fin@tic Posted October 2, 2007 Super User Posted October 2, 2007 One I was using since i was a kid is a zoom fluke(regular, not super).Doesnt have the kickin action, but gives the bait a nice real lookin profile. On the bad side these must be rigged perfectly straight. Quote
detroit1 Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 A hook, and then a disc of bicycle innertube that was punched with a paper hole puncher thing. Quote
