I have several Lightning rods that have seen alot of action. They are great rods for the money. The newest models seem to be even lighter and more sensitive. I just recently got a Convergence spinning rod, and am very pleased with it. I can't say it is more sensitive, but it is definately lighter than my old Lightning rods. You won't be wasting your money by purchasing a Lightning rod, it will give you many years of service.

having fished both, between the convergence and lightning rods. I would choose the convergence. It has better sensitivity in my opinion.

And a over the counter warrenty.. ;D BTW my local dicks has them on sale for 24 bucks ;)

At that price i'm going to have to head down to dick's and see if my store has the same sales. I'm looking for another beater rod to leave at my dad's cabin
