Super User Alpster Posted March 13, 2008 Super User Posted March 13, 2008 is the shimano stella all it's cracked up to be ?or is it just hype? and what is the stella ARB ? It IS all it's cracked up to be, IMHO. I love mine. ARB stands for Anti Rust Bearings. The bearings have some sort of non corrosive coating. They are available on most Shimano reels. I hope this helps. Ronnie Quote

XbassmasterX Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 how much are they darn its $500 got confused with the sarros Quote
franklinfishfinder Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 I look at high price fishing tackle like golf clubs and anything else. No one needs a $500 reel. The fish don't know what you have or don't have. But if you have the best then you can't blame anything on on your equipment. Plus the Stella comes with a lifetime warranty. Thats hard to beat and I think its the only spinning reel that comes with that. But I'm not 100% sure on that. But yeah if you have the best then you can't say anything else might be better until they upgrade the stella. Plus it is a sweet reel period. If you have the money and are willing to spend that on a reel then go for it. You only live once and I've never heard of anyone saying anything bad besides the price of the reel. Quote

DRat Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 I have four stella's. 1000,2500,4000, and 6000. I love them. There is no better spinning reel. Quote
