ccole1911 Posted October 14, 2007 Posted October 14, 2007 need to know how people fish a brush hog? Quote
mattm Posted October 14, 2007 Posted October 14, 2007 t-rigged with a 1/8-3/16 oz weight and tepose the hook. Quote
Super User Catt Posted October 14, 2007 Super User Posted October 14, 2007 I use the Baby Brush Hog Texas Rigged with a 3/16-1/4 oz weight & a 2/0 Denny Brauer Straight Shank Flipping Hook. Quote
basspro48 Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 I recently got second in a tournament on the Appomattox river pitching a watermelon seed ZOOM baby brush hog t-rigged on a 2/0 gammy superline hook and a 1/8oz weight. The bass in the tidal rivers really tear these things up, especially if you put a little garlic scented chart dye on the tails. Quote
Triton9 Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 agree witcha there bp48, i also carolina rig them Quote
cootertom Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 Texas rigged with 1/8 ounce tunsten. I use the Venom with salt. Like the way they make the legs, solid and flutter on way down better than Zoom. Quote
Super User cart7t Posted October 15, 2007 Super User Posted October 15, 2007 I C-rig them and flip or pitch them. Good bait. Quote
Super User Tin Posted October 15, 2007 Super User Posted October 15, 2007 Great to pitch to brush, holes in coontail, or the edges of grasslines. Just a good all-around bait. I like there super-hogs, better. Smaller and compact, its like a beaver mixed with a brush hog. Quote
Joel W Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 I love to pitch Zoom Baby Brush Hogs into weed holes. I tx-posed them on a Hookerz 5/0 pitching hook with a 1/4-1/2 bullet weight. Quote
skillet Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 Either Brush Hog or little brother, GREAT baits. Partial to Green Pumkin or Watermelon Seed. 1/8 to 1/4 oz. weight, T-rigged. Fished really slow... As Ever, skillet Quote
Guest avid Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 I love to pitch Zoom Baby Brush Hogs into weed holes. I tx-posed them on a Hookerz 5/0 pitching hook with a 1/4-1/2 bullet weight. Me too. I'll use a heavier weight up to 1 1/4 oz if needed to penetrate the weed canopy. great flippin bait. Never tried Brent's but all his plastics are really good, so there's no reason to expect that his bugs wouldn't be top shelf. Quote
Olebiker Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 Baby Brush Hog, green pumpkin, 1 ounce weight, flippin' and pitchin' in the hydrilla on Lake Seminole. Carolina rigged on Lake Talquin. Quote
