Has anyone had any experience with these rods.I'm thinking of purchasing the7' crankbait rod and possibly the drop shot spinning rod.

I purchased a 7'3'' H Riggin' Stick over the weekend and like it so far.  It casts further than any other rod I own, including my Loomis MBR844C.  It's also pretty sensitive somewhere between a Loomis IMX and GLX.  But on the down side, it's seems heavy even without the weight system.  I have tried a couple of reels with it and the one I liked best so far has been my Shimano Calcutta 251.  It balanced better than anything else I owned and I can cast a 6in Senko about 30 feet further than I ever have before.

I think Fenwick has some winners with their new line up.  The only one I question and would like to here some feedback on is their Crankshaft rods.  The one I looked at was very floppy at the tip and stiff at bottom.  It reminded me at first of an old Ugly Stick I use to have but after looking closer you could tell it was a well thought out rod.

IMO they could have done a little better on their handle design (never Fenwick's strong point anyway).  The casting rods feel nice, but they are a bit on the heavy side.

If they made a 7'6 Crankshaft with a longer handle, I'd prob. give one a try.

I didn't think about it but you got a good point.  The handle is kind of short on the Riggin Stick I have.  You would think that a rod made for Carolina Rigs and such would have a longer handle.  There was one other rod I almost brought home, but could not get in my wife's little car, and it was the 7'11'' Flippin Stick.  This rod was a beast and it just screamed to be used in heavy cover.  I would also like to hear opinions on this rod as well.  ;)

I wouldn't worry.  It was just a first impression and I have only looked at this rod in store.

When you get it, fish it for awhile and let us know what you think.  It's always great to hear info on technique specific rods because everybody fishes those specialized techniques differently.
