Super User skunked_again Posted February 28, 2008 Super User Posted February 28, 2008 i have one of the Cabelas Tourny rods and its not bad other than IMO it doesnt have enough guides. Quote
ILfisherman Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 Hey, I own a few of the BPS IM6's and they are great in MH. For around $20, you can't go wrong. I have no experience w/ the Cabela's rod but hey BPS offers an IM7 rod for $10 more than the IM6. I'm sure somebody that's dumb will chime in with suggestions for a different rod that is out of your price range and original question.....wait for it......WAIT fooooorrrr iiitttttttt........ Quote
Perfect Hook Set Posted February 29, 2008 Author Posted February 29, 2008 "I'm sure somebody that's dumb will chime in with suggestions for a different rod" I don't have a price range; I asked because. I was going to pick up a Diawa XiA... I figured why not get a combo if the rod in the combo was actually worth getting.. Both sites have them and I wasn't sure if I was to get a combo which was better. Thank you both Quote
Jeff_NHBA Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 I think it really depends on how you plan on using the rods. For instance, I would use the IM7 rod (generally more sensative) for jig and worm fishing. I would in turn use the IM6 (less sensative, but more flex) rod for light crank baits and maybe small spinnerbaits. Quote
