Super User Grey Wolf Posted February 24, 2008 Super User Posted February 24, 2008 Hey it sure would be nice if you could give more information on what kind of spinning rod you're looking for. Quote
Super User Tin Posted February 24, 2008 Super User Posted February 24, 2008 Check out Bass Pro Shops Spring Sale. Some great $59 rods. Quote
Guest muddy Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 Go to site sponsor list : click on Cabelas Bargin Banner; go to fishing rods, they have their 80 buck Fish Eagle II on sale for 49 bucks! 8-) Quote
mackkie Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 To add on this post... I'm looking for a new spinning rod. I have a 7'MH, two 6'6 M, and a 5'6 ultra light. I was thinking of getting a 6' M for jiggin near docks for accuracy. What's best for Crank Baits, and what's best for soft plastics and jigs? Hopefully this is more info than the original poster! Low_Budget_Hooker Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 I don't think you'll be happy with a 6' med for jigging. (I would personally go 6'6" or up and nothing less than a MH) Quote
mackkie Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 What about for accuracy, not casting distance around cover, and docks? Any suggestions for crankin, or soft plastics? Quote
Boett43 Posted February 25, 2008 Author Posted February 25, 2008 He Hijacked my post haha Just kidding man you can have the post im no longer in need of a rod...thanks Muddy for letting me know about that cabelas deal got me a rod from there haha Quote
jwo1124 Posted February 25, 2008 Posted February 25, 2008 Hey Mackkie, http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/item-link.jsp_A&_DAV=MainCatcat20166-cat20374&id=0043238121995a&navCount=56&podId=0043238&parentId=cat20374&masterpathid=&navAction=push&catalogCode=IJ&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat20374&hasJS=true It's a little expensive, but I have heard Kistler rods are dang good. Ever see that commercial where Scott Martin pulls his boat back to shore using his Kistler? But even if you dont go for this specific rod, you want something short enough where you can accurately pitch the bait, and strong enough to handle a big fish pulling line around pillings. Quote
GitRDoneIke23 Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 I have this rod listed on another site. It's normally around $40-$50. Here's the link..........http://www.bountyfishing.com/thread/all-star-spinning-rod Quote
