Sorry for pulling this to the top of the board.

I had a chance to play around with the new Code and the one thing I couldn't get past was the drag star. I think the points are way too sharp. The reel looks pretty aggressive but I had my concerns about adjusting the drag while fighting a fish.

Not to mention it looks like Quantum is "borrowing" some design aspects of Japanese reels. At least I think it looks like a Daiwa.

I got to play with one today and i really liked it.  It looks really nice and was very smooth to reel.  It also felt really nice in my hands. I will be buying one at the classic during the reel trade in.  I think it will be worth the $65.

I haven't got to see one in person yet, none of the stores around here have them. They look alot like the new KVD model. They do look good, but agree with above, some Daiwa ideas are on it. The swept handle and crank/gear bearing housing do look eerily familiar.

I think the components are of lesser quality (get what you pay for) then some of there other reels especially the burners. Have used many different Quantum baitcasters and this one seemed sub par.
